Admissions Process

Your Path to Founders Christian School

Our admissions process is designed to help families move clearly through each step while giving us the opportunity to get to know your student and family. Follow the five steps below. If you have questions at any point, please contact the school office.

Application

Founders Christian School utilizes an online admissions application. Begin by creating an account, then select “Create a New Student Application” for each child you wish to enroll. You may log in and out of your account as needed while completing your open application(s).

After submitting the application and application fee, you can log back into your account to track your admissions status.

Supplemental Paperwork

The following documents must be submitted to the Admissions Department before the family interview can be scheduled:

  • Kindergarten Evaluation Form (Kindergarten only)
  • Teacher Evaluation Form (1st–12th grades)
  • Transfer of Records Request Form
  • Copy of current report card (1st–12th grades) and transcript (9th–12th grades)
  • Copy of birth certificate

Admissions Testing

Once the application is received, the Admissions Department will schedule admissions testing.

Kindergarten–2nd Grade
Assessments are completed one-on-one with a teacher and the prospective student and take approximately 20–30 minutes.
3rd–6th Grade
Students complete grade-specific language arts and math assessments independently. Testing takes approximately 1–2 hours.
7th–12th Grade
Students complete grade-specific language arts and math assessments independently. Testing takes approximately 2 hours.

Family Interview

The family interview is scheduled after all required paperwork has been submitted and testing results are available with minimum requirements met. Both parents, if applicable, and the prospective student are required to attend.

The interview is conducted by two school council members and lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Notification of Admissions Decision

After the Admissions Committee reviews the completed admissions information, families will be notified of acceptance or denial. Depending on the time of year, notification may be made by letter or phone call.

Upon acceptance, a non-refundable commitment fee is due within 30 days. The commitment fee is equal to one-half of the first tuition payment.
