BIO

Jess Larson has over 20 years of teaching and administration experience and teaches science, chemistry, and PreCalculus to our upper school students. He has a B.S. in Sociology from Texas A&M and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a passion for teaching the students a biblical worldview when it comes to math and science. He strives to give his students a sturdy foundation for understanding creation and the realm of science according to Genesis 1:28.

He believes that "an understanding of God's creation leads to a delight in God and enjoyment of God in worship. God has graciously revealed aspects of His character and nature to us through His creation and gives us the privilege and responsibility to have dominion over every living thing. Contrary to the current popular scientific teaching that everything evolved from disorder and chaos, we teach that we can expect to find order in the solution to our scientific questions. We teach our students that through the application of the scientific method to the world's problems, they may participate in the alleviation of suffering and reversal of some of the effects of the fall, thereby loving their fellow man and glorifying God."
