Courtney Hughes

Upper School Teacher



Miss Hughes has 6 years of Science and Environmental teaching experience. This includes instruction with prestigious organizations such as Texas A&M at Galveston and Galveston Bay Foundation. She has been with FCS for the past three years in different capacities, but this year will be teaching Biology, Chemistry, Geometry, and Physical Science. She comes from a proud Aggie family and graduated with honors from Texas A&M University at Galveston. In addition to having her Bachelors of Science Degree in Marine Biology, Miss Hughes is also a certified scientific scuba diver with additional certifications in nitrox, rescue, and cavern diving. She has participated in research projects with the world famous dolphin behavioral ecologist Dr. Wursig and has also worked offshore as a protected species observer. Miss Hughes is excited to be teaching at FCS because she loves teaching how God shows his majesty through math and science.
