I began in the FCS Library as a Parent Reader when the school first opened, and gradually became the Librarian. Watching the children's love of reading develop has so many rewards. We have a wide selection of reading materials for the children to choose from and a readiness to accommodate their growing interests. In my personal and professional life, I have always enjoyed and recognized the importance of reading and learning. After volunteering as a parent reader at FCS, I was so encouraged and inspired to get to be a part of this aspect of our students' education. I had seen many of the benefits that a fun reading program brought to my own children (even at a very early age) so I invite all the parents to be a part of the Parent Reader opportunities we have available.
